While Manganiello explanation is nor exactly confirmed, it is likely that Deathstroke will not making any appearance in the film since the Justice League will be focus on the invading forces from Apokolips led by Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds), io9 reported.
It is rumored that Deathstroke will be challenging Bruce Wayne/Batman (Affleck) to a possible fight in his mobile air base the Flying Fox under the orders of Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). "300" director Zack Snyder teased that DC's resident mercenary is in contact with Lex Luthor to take out Batman as revenge for foiling his plans for killing Superman (Henry Cavill).
Snyder's storyboard will have Lurhor meeting Deathstroke in an office conference room were in eagled eyed viewers will see wearing an eyepatch and has a sword on their back, presumably Slade and other person that he is talking to is only seen from behind and he is bold, to which it could be Lex.
In other news, a new LEGO toyline featured all the six members of the Justice League during the Nuremberg International Toy Fair as several eagled-eyed netizens notice some costume changes for The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa).
