The latest details and spoilers for "The Flash" season 3 will feature an Earth 2 version of Eddie Thawne and Black Flash to appear first in "Legends of Tomorrow".
It seems that Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) and S.T.A.R. Labs team will be visiting Gorilla City in the second haft of season 3 and executive producer Aaron Elbing confirmed in an interview that it will take place in Earth 2, the same place where Gorilla Grodd was sent during season 2.
Helbing added that the two-part Gorilla City episode will have unbelievable and epic sequences, which is never been seen in television. There are also rumors that other Earth 2 versions of the characters from Earth 1 will be revealed in the episode and the possibility of Team Flash meeting an Earth 2 Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) will likely happen, Screenrant reported.
Cosnett tweeted his return to "The Flash" season 3, but the cause of his sudden resurrection in the show is left unexplained.Eddie Thawne was inroduced in "The Flash" season 1 as Joe West's (Jesse L. Martin) partner in the CCPD, as well as the first love interest of Iris West (Candice Payton), making him Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) rival for her affection.
Eddie is revealed to be the distant relative of The Flash's ultimate nemesis, Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), who disguised himself as S.T.A.R. Labs founder Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Eddie sacrificed his life to defeat the Reverse-Flash and save Barry.
In other news, another Flash villain will be making is way to the "Arrowverse" as the Black Flash will debut first in "Legends of Tomorrow".
Co-producer Marc Guggenheim ton Entertainment Weekly that the Black Flash will be headed first in"Legends" before coming to "The Flash" TV series. Co-producer Andrew Kreisberg teased during the Television Critics’ Association’s Winter Press Tour that the speedster will be appearing all DC TV series including "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow".
Formerly known as the Earth 2 speedster Hunter Solomon/Zoom, The Flash defeated him during the season 2 finale of "The Flash" as the Time Wraiths disfigured and captured him into the Speed Force for "breaking" its rules.
It is hinted that the Black Flash will be terrorizing Central City targeting Barry Allen since he has manipulated the timeline. "Masters of Sex" star Teddy Sear's teased the possibility of returning to "The Flash" season 3.
The problem is that Sear's is part of another TV series "24: Legacy" TV series which will premier on February, which will conflict his schedule and will have to ask Fox for permission to go to Vancouver for "The Flash" shoots.
It is unknown yet as to how Black Flash will appear in "Supergirl", "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow", but the "Arrowverse" is known for hinting several clues for a small crossovers which leads to big crossovers in future seasons.
"The Flash" returns on Tuesday at 8pm on The CW.
