Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 renders

The Galaxy Tab S3 release is drawing near. A leaked render has revealed that it will be coming with a dual-edge curved display to kill iPad Pro.

Recently, the Galaxy Tab S3's drawing was spotted at Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S. The listing with FCC has revealed its back panel design. In 2015, the Galaxy Tab S2's design was quite similar to its schematics that were sent to FCC by Samsung.

In comparison to Galaxy Tab S2's back panel design, the FCC drawing of Galaxy Tab S3 shows the latter will feature a slightly revamped design. Since the rear panel of the real Galaxy Tab S2 is similar to its FCC drawing, it is likely that the derriere of Tab S3 will be quite similar to its FCC drawing, Slash Gear reported.

The publication has reported that it has received a leaked render of the Galaxy Tab S3 from an unnamed reader. Just as the rear panel has been redesigned, the front side of the device also appears to be revamped. A mere look at it suggests that it will be featuring a dual-edge curved display. It means it will appear like a larger edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge or the soon-to-be released Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones.  However, it cannot be confirmed whether the leaked render is real or fake.

As previous rumors have stated, the Galaxy Tab S3 would be featuring a 9.6-inch AMOLED screen with 4:3 aspect ratio support. It will carry support for a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. It will be running on Snapdragon 820 and 4 GB of RAM.  Other rumors have stated Samsung may release Exynos 7420 SoC and 4 GB RAM variant for select markets.

It is expected to come in 32 GB and 128 GB storage sizes. For photography, it is expected to house a 12-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Other specs include Android 7.1 Nougat OS, USB Type-C, a fingerprint reader and a 5,870 mAh battery. The tablet will be coming in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE choices, Indian Gizmo reported.

The Galaxy Tab S3 is slated to get announced on Feb. 27 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event in Barcelona, Spain.
