Lenovo's Motorola Moto lineup is brewing another smartphone, dubbed as Motorola Moto M, prior to the releases of Moto Z, Moto G4, and Moto E3.

Motorola's Moto G5 model may finally hit shelves in the middle of March as reliable tipster Roland Quandt shared on Twitter. The said smartphone will be revealed at Mobile World Congress 2017.

Quandt revealed that the device will be sold after the Moto G5 specs reveal in the upcoming MWC 2017 in Barcelona. He also added that the device will be available in two color options namely Gold and Grey. The base model will reportedly have 16GB and 2GB RAM while the higher-end variant will sport 32GB and 3GB RAM.

Another Moto G5 spec is its 5-inch screen with a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080 which puts it at 441 ppi for the density, Trusted Reviews has learned. Powering the device is a massive 3000mAh battery which is slowly becoming the standard for smartphones today.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 is speculated to be the brains for the smartphone with the processor clocked at 1.4GHz. Despite it being a device targeted at budget-conscious customers, the rear camera is still acceptable for most at 13 megapixels.

The new and updated Android 7.0 Nougat version will reportedly be the OS for the Moto G5. Motorola also included a fingerprint sensor at the rear as well as NFC capabilities which may translate to more payment options, Phone Arena reported. Users will also be able to use the new USB Type-C port which is known for its faster-charging capabilities.

Actual benchmarks of the new budget Motorola smartphone have not yet surfaced. However, the rumored specs and features may already offer an estimate as to how the phone will perform.

Motorola will reportedly reveal the Moto G5 specs, features and final release date at the upcoming MWC 2017 event. Other smartphones that are expected at the conference include the LG G6 and the Samsung Galaxy S8.
