Motorola may be close to launching the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus as specs have already leaked. The smartphones' highlights are interestingly similar to the recently released Redmi Note 4.

Moto G5 specs have been leaked thanks to a listing obtained by Portugeuese tech site 4G News. The new and upcoming smartphone is Motorola's entry to the mid-end mainstream market that is dominated by Asian tech companies such as Xiaomi, Huawei, HTC and Samsung.

The listing states that the Moto G5 will have a 5-inch display with a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080. It will have a slightly higher pixel density count compared to the Redmi Note 4 which has the same resolution but at a 5.5-inch screen.

Just like Xiaomi's new phone, the Moto G5 will also reportedly sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC which is becoming more common. It will have 4GB RAM which can be overkill for the casual user and the 32GB internal storage is more than enough for storing FHD videos and music. Motorola also supports the 3000mAH battery with Turbo Charge that works similar to Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology.

The Moto G5 will be running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box when it launches, BGR reported. Google's new Android version includes several improvements like the upgraded Doze feature and native multi-window screen support.

Another similar Moto G5 spec to the Redmi Note 4 is the 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5MP front snapper. The new Motorola smartphone also supports Android Pay thanks to its NFC feature. It will also come with dual-sim capabilities which is useful for those who want to use two sims with different carriers.

The Moto G5 Plus also has similar specs with just a larger screen and battery at 5.5 inches and 3100mAh, respectively. Since the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 costs around $150, the Moto G5 price is expected to be within the same range.
