The only Moto smartphone from Lenovo that came out with flagship specs in 2016 was the Moto Z. Hence, the unnamed XT1650 smartphone is said to be the Moto Z (2017). On GeekBench, the alleged Moto Z (2017) has scored 1,930 on the single-core test and it has recorded a score of 6,207 in the multi-core test.
The Snapdragon 835 chipset has a 1.90 GHz quad-core processor onboard. The SoC is supported by memory of 3,740 MB which indicates 4 GB of RAM. Also, it is expected to come preloaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. It is interesting to note that unlike other 2017 flagship phones that are expected to sport 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, the Moto Z (2017) seems to continue with 4 GB of RAM like its predecessor, Ubergizmo reported.
The LG G5 came with a modular design in 2015. It received poor reception from the audience mainly because of its expensive price tags as well as high pricing of its accessories. However, the Moto Z (2016) that also arrived with a modular design and decent pricing. Hence, it is likely to come with modular design.
The Moto Z (2016) was announced in June 2016 and it was made available for purchase in September. Hence, it is likely that the Moto Z (2017) may get announced in June and it will be hitting the markets by September this year.
