After the successful CES 2017 event, Lenovo is heading towards the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 with a slew of devices to unveil, according to press renders already released. Now, reports claim that the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones will be the most feasible candidates for the MWC reveal.
Earlier, Lenovo, which acquired Motorola in 2014, has already distributed invites for a Feb. 26 event, with its poster showing a Moto device casting a shadow in the shape of Barcelona's Sagrada Familio with the tagline "Hello Moto" at the bottom.
With the Mobile World Congress being a common stage for smartphone companies in introducing handsets, fans should expect Motorola to reveal new smartphones by next month at the trade show.
Although the promotional invitation indicates that the company will be present on the Barcelona event, no particular details on the upcoming smartphones are revealed on the announcement. However, enough information on the Lenovo-owned phones has already been dispersed ahead of the said event, following leaked images of the anticipated Moto G5 Plus, along with the Moto G5's specs and features.
According to NDTV, the two smartphones are expected for mid-range market. The ph'nes' display features 5.5-inch full HD resolution, 5-megapixels front cameras, and octa-core chipsets for fast processing. In terms of rear camera, the two smartphones will be sporting different resolutions, with the rumoured 13-megapixel rear camera for the Moto G5 and a 16-megapixel rear camera for the Moto G5 Plus.
In its internal chassis, the Moto G5 Plus will reportedly feature an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC together with 4GB of RAM. The handset will house a 3080 mAh battery and will have a capacity of 32GB for internal memory.
More of the leaked details suggest that the Moto G5 Plus will sport a fingerprint scanner, and a circular camera panel at the rear panel. The Moto "M" logo will appear just below the camera module. The smartphone will be available in Silver colour option.
According to MNA, Lenovo could also showcase its modular accessories for the Moto Z line, the Moto Mods. More details on the upcoming Moto smartphones will be revealed online as the MWC 2017 event draws near.
