Luca Todesco Confirms Imminent Yalu Jailbreak Release for iPhone 7 as iOS 9 JB Tool Now Supports 32-bit iPhones, iPads

The new iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus are displayed on a table at an Apple store in Manhattan on September 16, 2016 in New York City.

There will be an updated Yalu jailbreak release for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, this was confirmed by the jailbreak creator Luca Todesco. The dev also said that soon Yalu1011 will run on the current Apple flagship but the solution is not necessarily an iOS 10.2 jailbreak.

While making clear that providing the jailbreak is not top on his list at the moment, Todesco tweeted recently that a modified iOS 10 on the iPhone 7 series will surely happen. "Yalu1011 for iPhone 7 will be updated at some point. Just not a priority right now," the iOS security researcher was reported by iDownloadBlog.com as saying.

The same report also indicated that going by the Todesco announcement, it's practically confirmed that "although they won't receive an iOS 10.2 jailbreak this time round, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will soon receive a stable tool on the lower firmwares." But when exactly is jailbreak's arrival, only its creator knows.

But one thing is sure - the iPhone 7 jailbreak is step back from Apple's current version of iOS 10.2.1 and will likely only work on v. 10.1.1. So those hoping to install the tool as soon as Todesco makes it available it's important to note that their current firmware matches that of the jailbreak version.

This certainly applies to those who saved their .SHSH2 blobs on the same firmware and those lucky enough to still iOS 10.1.1 on their devices.

Now the jailbreak good news is not only exclusive to 64-bit users or those on iPhone 5S and up. In a separate story, iDB reported that a developer known as jk9357 shared to the public an iOS 9 jailbreak dubbed as Home Depot. The tool is heaven sent to fans that have been clamoring for a 32-bit compatible jailbreak solution.

Per the jailbreak author, Home Depot will run on select 32-bit iPhones and iPads. According to iDB, jk9357's iOS 9 crack is a go for the iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5/5C and supports versions 9.3.1, 9.3.2, 9.3.3 and 9.3.4. The iPad versions 2 to 4 are likewise covered with the iPod Touch 5 conditionally supported.

Of note is that the jailbreak is still in beta build so would-be users are advised to expect fair amount of bumps during the install process and actual usage. In some cases, some issues encountered with the iOS 9 Home Depot jailbreak can be resolved by bits of manual tweaking, the iDB report said.
