Jeremy Lin continues to sit out for the Brooklyn Nets following recurring problems with his hamstring. There is no official date on when he would return though most hope he can come back after the NBA All-Star weekend.

Jeremy Lin suffered a setback in January with reports that the American-Asian suffered a setback during rehab for his left hamstring. He would be missing an addition three to five weeks though seeing him shoot some hoops is a good sign according to Rotoworld.

The Nets suffered their eighth straight loss and the frustration has been setting in. Brook Lopez, someone rumored to be on the way out before the NBA trade deadline, believed the team was in crisis and players lacking confidence, the NY post reported.

Such was echoed within the team with coach Kenny Atkinson looking for a breakthrough win to check the uncertainty from within. At 9-41, the season is as good as lost for the Nets with most believing changes happening soon.

Aside from Lopez, the names of Bojan Bogdanovic has been mentioned in the trade rumor mill. Both may be better off playing for other teams – particularly the ones preparing for the NBA playoffs. All that should take shape in the coming weeks with the Feb. 23 trade deadline fast approaching.

The Nets may likely try to get into the NBA Draft seeing that their choice is owed to the Boston Celtics. Hence, Brooklyn may not be looking to reel in a key player right now but pieces that can aid the franchise in the future.

For Lin, it would not be surprising if he ends up sitting out the rest of the season. He does have the itch to play but with recurring injuries, resting his injury to heal properly is seen as the best recourse with the season practically lost.

The remaining games will not be easy for Lin and company but a reality that they need to face. Atkinson tried to make a difference in his first year but obviously for naught. He gets another try next season with Lin looking to do the same.

Check out the video below showing Jeremy Lin hopeful of an NBA return in 2 to 3 weeks.
