While the Taiwanese girl group S.H.E. denied the rumors in November 2016 that they would go on a three-year break because of the pregnancy of Ella Chen, another Taiwanese singer is back in the entertainment scene after being gone for three years.
Yoga Lin took a three-year hiatus to complete his military service and register his wedding to Kiki Ting who was his girlfriend for two years. He talked with media on Sunday after performing at the Esplanade concert as opening act of the Huayi 2017 festival for 90 minutes at a louhei session at Crystal Jade Prestige in Singapore, Toggle reported.
Wide Repertoire
Straits Times reported that all the 1,600 tickets for the concert were sold out quickly. Yoga Lin’s repertoire was not limited to songs from his 2016 album. He also sang tracks from his 2012 album “Fiction,” 2011 album “Perfect Life,” 2009 album “Senses Around” and 2008 debut album “Mystery Guest.”
Among those who attended the event was his wife Kiki Ting whom he introduced to the audience at the end of the event. Yoga Lin shared that he is less nervous with his wife around because she reassures him and tells him not to overthink things.
He recently released two music albums that are now selling at major music stores. These are “Sell Like Hot Cakes” and “Sometimes The Great Yoga Speaking in Tongues.” Yoga Lin shared that he has been furiously writing songs recently, but he attributed it to hard work and not being married.
Married Life
Kiki Ting is not pregnant yet, but if they would have a baby he has not thought of a name yet because the 29-year-old singer wants to find out first the baby’s gender. However, Yoga Lin joked that he would likely pick between Lin Shi (or Snack Lin in English) and Lin Qian (Cash Lin).
The couple has not yet planed for a wedding ceremony which they hope would be in 2017. But Yoga Lin is planning to go to a place where they could see the Northern Lights for their honeymoon. He was fascinated with seeing the Aurora Borealis once while he was on a plane back from Canada and would want Kiki Ting to also have the same experience.
