Doing something special for a favorite celebrity during an anniversary or an important milestone is one of the things that many fans would do for their idol. However, the tables were turned when Lee did something memorable for a fan.

The "Legend of the Blue Sea" actor's special fan service happened several years back but its details were only revealed recently, according to local news outlet Dispatch, as cited by Koreaboo. It seems that Lee was approached by a fan during a 2015 autograph signing event in South Korea where she presented the Hallyu star with a slip of paper containing three dates.

After explaining that the said three choices represented her potential wedding dates, the fan asked Lee to pick one where he ended up choosing a March 2016 date. The said fan then started her wedding preparations and even sent a wedding invitation to the South Korean star through his agency, MYM Entertainment.

Despite the formal invite, Lee was unable to join the fan's wedding day festivities given his schedule. However, he still wanted to make the bride's day special by sending her a floral wreath with a message that conveyed his best wishes for the newly-wed couple.

Upon seeing Lee's surprise floral arrangement at the wedding venue, the bride nearly fainted from the shock of seeing a gift from the celebrity. Meanwhile, many fans also expressed their appreciation for Lee's thoughtful gift and the way that he helped to make the bride's day more special.

In other news, Lee's fantasy mermaid drama ended its 20-episode run with impressive double-digit TV ratings. The SBS drama's final episode posted nationwide viewership shares of 17.9 percent while ratings in Seoul reached 18.8 percent, according to Nielsen Korea, as cited by Yonhap News.
