Since the end of their series, "Descendants of the Sun" stars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo have been plagued with romance rumors but have remained silent about the issue. Recently, however, a controversial Facebook post has sparked speculations about their secret relationship even more when Laneige accidentally posted a status about Hye Kyo's upcoming wedding.
In the said post, Laneige Taiwan congratulated the actress, who happens to be the official endorser of the beauty product, for her wedding with "oppa." While the status did not drop any name as to who that "oppa" was, fans were quick to speculate that it was none other than Joong Ki.
"Laneige's goddess spokesperson, Song Hye Kyo, and oppa have recently confirmed the wedding date. So happy. I can only hope that one day cupid will look upon me too," read the post. A few minutes after it was posted, however, the admin of the page edited it to: "Laneige's goddess spokesperson, Song Hye Kyo, is very happy recently. I can only hope that one day cupid will look upon me too," reported Korea Portal.
What made the post even more suspicious was the fact that it was deleted immediately. According to Cosmopolitan Magazine, Laneige Taiwan allegedly posted the status soon after Joong Ki and Hye Kyo gave out wedding invitations to their guests.
"Descendants of the Sun" finished airing in 2016. However, the chemistry of the two actors in the series was so strong that fans still cannot get enough of them. Since last year, rumors about them being an item in real life has been around, but the two actors and their agencies have never said a word about the issue.
Previously, Hye Kyo and Joong Ki were spotted together in New York City. They have also been spotted several times hanging out with some friends, including Korean actor Yoo Ah-In.
