"The Originals" Season 4 will see Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) in a whole new different light since he is now the leader of New Orleans. However, he is no longer the good and reliable friend that the Mikaelsons once got to know.

Just recently, The CW released a new trailer for the upcoming fourth season of "The Originals," and it confirmed that Marcel will try to oppose Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) wishes to reunite Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt).

Since Marcel is now the leader of his city, he will do everything in his power to make sure that none of the Mikaelson siblings will be able to reclaim it. However, Hayley will also do the same, and she will go through different lengths just to make sure that she and her daughter, Hope (Summer Fontana) will have a better life.

While speaking with TV Line, former executive producer Michael Narducci said that one of Hayley's motivations is her feelings for Elijah. Since her relationship with Elijah is a very dynamic theme for the show, they will have plenty of screen time in Season 4.

Meanwhile, Hayley is also concerned over the welfare of her 7-year-old daughter. Since there are a lot of people wanting to take Klaus down, Hope will be affected. In the upcoming episodes, she will be faced with a villainous character, and Klaus and Hayley will try to protect her to the best of their abilities.

However, this task will become close to impossible when Marcel decides to attack Klaus and lock him up in prison. In the clip, the villainous character also chained his ex-friend.

In other news, "The Originals" Season 4 is set to premiere on March 17. As of late, it is still unclear whether or not the series will be renewed by The CW for Season 5. After all, the network still has to wait for the ratings of the first few episodes before they can make a final decision.
