Blackberry DTEK50 and DTEK60 smartphones are now on sale. This particular marketing strategy is seen as the company's way of winning back consumers in consonance with the Valentine's Day.
The once dominant smartphone has been trying its best to compete with other leading brands. With their latest immersion in the Android industry, the company has been giving their best effort to make their products known in the highly saturated Android smartphone industry. A testament to this attempt is the latest marketing ploy that includes that of the DTEK50 and DTEK60.
Both devices are running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Thus, giving easier access and connectivity for smartphone users. The company boasts of the two devices as the World's most secure Android smartphones, ensuring consumers of a much-secured information sharing, including locations, texts, and pictures.
Unlike the typical Android smartphones, DTEK series according to Blackberry will automatically monitor your OS and apps and prompt you of any privacy risk. The automated system would then assist you on how you could improve security and overall performance of the device.
Two main security features being showcased by the DTEK series are "Encryption" and "Password Keeper." The former functions as picture or bank details protection against theft, while the latter secures the storage of your passwords and log-in information.
For its new price, DTEK50 is now being sold for $259, shaving off $40 from its original $299 price. On the other hand, DTEK60 is sold for $449. A $50 discount is implemented for this period, in contrast to its $499 original price, according to Digital Trends.
As added options for consumers, Blackberry store is also offering the BlackBerry Priv for $449. Moreover, the BlackBerry Passport that was released in 2014 is still available for $349. Lastly, a much cheaper option is also being offered online for $199, the BlackBerry Leap.
