Avengers: Infinity War is a two-part superhero film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo as part of phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The latest details for "Avengers: Infinity War" will feature a weapon for Thorand the new role Tony Stark/Iron Man in the sequel.

Marvel Studios released a production teaser video for "Avengers: Infinity War" which featured the main actors in the film Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland and Chris Pratt as the video showcased what is in store for third Avengers film from concepts, production design to the plot and characters involved in the film.

It is previously revealed that the Avengers will team-up with the Guardians of the Galaxy against the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) and prevent him from obtaining all of the Infinity Stones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only will the Avengers and Guardians team-up to fight Thanos, but there are other heroes joining the fight such as Spider-Man (Holland), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).

One of the more intereting things in the tease video is the concept art of Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Thor Odinson (Chris Hemsworth) fighting side-by-side as viewers and comic fans noticed that Thor is wielding a different weapon rather than Mjolnir.

It theorized that this new weapon could be his battle axe Jarnbjorn, a weapon he used in his earlier days before he obtained Mjornir. Other fans think that the weapon Thor is holding is the Ultimate Mjolnir from the Ultimate Marvel comics, an axe/hammer hybrid. The possible explanition for it is that the Mjolnir might be reforged into the axe/hammer hybrid which is probably after the events of "Thor: Ragnarok" film, ComicBook reported.

Aside from Thor's possible new weapon, the teaser also featured Tony Stark/Iron Man's new role in "Avengers: Infinity War" as RDJ stated in a Q&A session that Tony will be a little bit "mature" in the sequel seeing as how the Avengers are no longer around to protect the world and has become pro-active in preparation for the event, Screenrant reported.

Tony in "Avengers: Infinity War" is still not in speaking terms with Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) ever since the events of "Captain America: Civil War" and that the Russo brothers wanted it to happen in order for Thanos to take them out easily, and the only way to beat the Mad Titan is to unite the Avengers as a team. A concept art of "Infinity War" featured Tony creating new models of his Iron Legion as a possible defense against invading enemies from in and outside earth.

Iron Man will be featured in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" as he mentors the young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Holland) and keeps an eye out for him during his crime-fighting duties.

"Avengers: Infinity War" is slated to be release on May 4, 2018, while the fourth film is scheduled on May 3, 2019.
