'Persona 5' rumors: Atlus tease 'P5' Definitive Edition, fighting, dance spin-offs; HD remakes of previous 'Persona' titles in the works?

Persona 5 is an upcoming JRPG being developed by Atlus of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 console

The latest details for "Persona 5" will feature a possible Definitive Edition, Dance and Fighting spin-offs and HD remastered versions of past "Persona" titles.

It seems that Atlus will be planning something new for the "Persona" game franchise as their latest online survey asked gaming fans if they want see new features and spin-offs for "Persona 5" this year. The game us currently available in Japan for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles, while its western release date is set on April 4, gaming fans will be delighted to hear if Atlus could add more content ot the current sequel in the franchise.

One of the options for "Persona 5" will include additional scenarios and new elements, which suggest a possible DLC story pack or a "Definitive Edition" of the game. The survey also revealed possible spin-off titles for "Persona 5"such as a fighting game similar to "Person 4 Arena" or a dance style game similar to "Persona 4: Dancing All Night", Gematsu reported.

"Persona 4 Arena" and "Persona 4 Arena Ultimax" director Kazuhisa Wada once teased gaming fans that there will be a "Persona 5: Arena" game in the works very soon, as he told Game Talk that it is something that he wanted to incorporate in the future as he cited how Atlus made use of there effort to develop "Persona 5" and encourages the gaming fans to let them do it very soon.

The Atlus survey also revealed there plans for HD remastered versions of previous "Persona" titles and these are "Revelations: Persona HD remake", "Persona 2: Innocent Sin / Eternal Punishment HD remake","Persona 3 HD remake", "Persona 3 dance game" (sound action) "Persona Q" sequel and remake for other hardware.

Other possible "Persona" games include a board game, online and even a shooting game. For each title, check boxes are provided to pick which platform(s) the user would like to play on. Available options are PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, PS Vita, smartphone and others, Siliconera reported.

It should be noted that just because a title is listed in the survey, does not mean it is something that will come to fruition. Although, Atlus has previously stated they will announce “several” new titles in 2017, including the "Persona" series, so it is possible that at least one of these titles is in development.

"Persona 5" will launch on April 14 in the other regions for the PS4 and PS3 consoles.
