"House of Cards" Season 5 has become more interesting with the teasers posted on the Netflix series' official social media account. A short video now fuels the debate of the potential return of Zoe Barnes who Frank Underwood got rid of in the Season 2 of the hit series.
The latest tease of Netflix for the upcoming fifth installment of the political drama showcased President Frank Underwood doing push-ups along with a mystery man. Although no further details were given, fans online were quick to associate Frank's physical preparation to the possible return of Zoe Barnes, played by Kate Mara.
Just a few weeks back, a major "HoC" character has been reported by Daily Star for a probable comeback. The short video showing Zoe looking out of a car window and smiling while on the phone to someone has ignited various theories in connection to the upcoming "HoC" Season 5.
Some fans immediately commented on the video highlighting that Zoe is back. On the other hand, some Twitter posts also theorized of a potential Zoe Barnes twin seeking for vengeance. With the theory of revenge and character resurrections, some people also believed that the character of Kevin Spacey, Frank, will likely meet its end in the upcoming season 5.
Meanwhile, theories and fans speculations aside, additional characters are said to be coming to the "House of Cards," according to Independent. The return of the political drama series this May will be accompanied by new cast members, including Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott.
Clarkson is an Emmy award-winning actress who had significant roles in "Six Feet Under" and "Shutter Island." Scott, on the other hand, played Peter Parker's father in the "Amazing Spider-Man." However, there is still no confirmation on what roles will the said new cast members will play in the upcoming Season 5 of the "House of Cards."
