The WWE has no clear plans for John Cena at WrestleMania 33 after he had one of the shortest title reigns of his career. He lost the WWE world championship to Bray Wyatt at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view last Sunday.

There seems to be a good reason why the WWE decided not to give Cena a long title reign. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wresting Observer Newsletter (subscription required), the 16-time WWE world champion will take another hiatus after WrestleMania 33.

Cena will take some time off to film his new comedy titled "The Pact". The hiatus confirms that the 39-year-old superstar is officially a part-timer. He has taken the same steps as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Dave "Batista" Bautista in Hollywood.

It should be noted that Cena already took some time off late last year to film the second season of his television show "American Grit" on FOX. A.J. Styles and the rest of the SmackDown Live roster carried the show in his absence and thrived.

Nevertheless, the WWE has been preparing for the eventual Hollywood calling for Cena. It starts with their current plan for him at WrestleMania 33. He is reportedly not going to have a significant match at the event, per Wrestling Inc.

The WWE have already planted the seeds of his possible feud with The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33 at Elimination Chamber. Cena eliminated The Miz in the Elimination Chamber Match, which means "The A-Lister" wants revenge.

Also, Nikki Bella, who is Cena's on-screen and real-life girlfriend, bumped into Maryse during a segment in last Sunday's pay-per-view. It was purposely done since the planned match for WrestleMania 33 is John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse.

This would be the first low-profile match for Cena at WrestleMania in a decade. Nevertheless, the WWE might put an emphasis on Nikki's neck since she will also take a hiatus after the event. The real-life couple is also rumored to be getting engaged at WrestleMania 33.

However, these are just rumors and should be taken with a grain of salt. Check out the video below to watch a sweet moment between Cena and Nikki on their reality television show "Total Bellas".
