Kurt Angle is will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this coming March 31 as part of WrestleMania 33 weekend. However, Angle is not yet retired from wrestling and he has revealed in an interview the two WWE superstars he wants to face before permanently hanging up his boots.
"I wouldn't be surprised if I do a few more matches somewhere down the line, but they haven't talked about it so it's not official. This Hall of Fame thing is just the beginning, so let's see how it goes and we'll go from there," Angle told Forbes in an interview.
The 48-year-old legend also revealed the two superstars he would like to face if the WWE decided to give him matches when he returns. He named two former TNA talents that he worked with back in his time with the Tennessee-based company.
"I've had my best matches with A.J. and Joe, so it'd be nice to do it on a bigger platform in the WWE so we'll see what happens," Angle said.
A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe are two of the greatest wrestlers in the history of TNA Wrestling. They are now part of the WWE main roster with Styles having one of the best rookie years in the company's history.
On the other hand, Joe spent more than a year in NXT wherein he established the brand along with Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura. He is now on the main roster and he already has a win over Roman Reigns.
According to Cageside Seats, the WWE will be using Angle as an on-screen talent after WrestleMania 33. There is no word if he is going to wrestle or become just an authority figure but don't be surprised if he becomes a part-timer since he's in really great shape. Nevertheless, it's good to know that he's back where he belongs.
Angle is joined in the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame Class by The Rock N' Roll Express and Theodore Long. More names will be announced heading into WrestleMania 33 with names like Diamond Dallas Page, "Ravishing" Rick Rude and Beth Phoenix among the possible inductees.
