Xiaomi MIUI 8.2 update now available for Mi 5, Mi Max, Mi Note, Redmi 3S, 3S Prime, Redmi Note 4, Note3, Note 2 and more

Xiaomi has officially announced the global rollout of MIUI 8.2 software update based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It is now available for a slew of Xiaomi devices.

According to MIUI forums, the MIUI 8.2 global stable ROM is now rolling out to supported devices. At present, the update is now available to wide range of devices such as Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Mi 4i, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Note, Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 4G.

Starting from Feb. 20, the update will be also available to other Xiaomi devices such as Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 3, Redmi 3 Prime, Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm and Special Edition, Redmi Note 4 MediaTek edition, Redmi Note 4, Mi 2, Mi 2S, Mi 5, Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus.

Users who own Xiaomi devices that are currently running on global stable ROM like MIUI V5, MIUI 6, MIUI 7 and MIUI 8 can navigate to the Updater app and manually check for the availability of updates. The update can also be installed by downloading the ROM manually for each smartphone and installing it via fastboot method.
