HBO Now

AZCentral reported on how the week saw a new offering from HBO a service that will allow viewers to do away with cables and to experience a totally new way to get entertained.

HBO Now puts the diversity in how viewers want to watch movies, TV shows and HBO select TV series even without an HBO subscription, either by cable or satellite. Considered as a streaming service that stands alone, without cords or cables, shows are to be viewed on the internet for a subscription fee of $15 every month.

HBO Now lets the customers enjoy their favorite movies, TV shows or series and even the shows by HBO, either ongoing or past seasons.  Movies from Fox, Universal, Summit and Warner Bros. can be viewed over and over again anywhere without being tied to a cable, as per Fool.

HBO Now subscription service was launched by HBO to the millions of US homes and who currently are not HBO subscribers.  HBO targets the customers in the younger generation and most especially those that have never ever got subscribed to the traditional way of watching TV.

The streaming service has been launched by HBO just in time for the "Game of Thrones" new season premier set to be telecast on April 12.

HBO Now is currently offered for US homes initially.  Another good thing that happened is that HBO has found a partner in Apple for the HBO now launch.  With the HBO Now service, Apple offers a three-month deal exclusive subscription.  After signing-up, customers will be able to enjoy the cable-free streaming service through the use of an Apple device with TV streaming option.  They can also use HBO Now by downloading the app on any iPads or iPhones.
