Avid South Korean drama fans will soon have a new romantic comedy series to fawn over with the upcoming premiere of the JTBC drama "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon." Given the chemistry between its lead actors Ji Soo and Park Hyung Sik, the duo's onscreen antics are expected to rival the bromance of Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook's characters in "Goblin."
The tvN fantasy series "Goblin" became one of the hit South Korean dramas of 2017 given its intriguing plot, star-studded cast and the onscreen bromance between Gong and Lee. Many viewers applauded how well the said two actors worked together and how their camaraderie was apparent in the quirky yet fun ways that they depicted their respective characters.
With the impending release of the romantic comedy series "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," it appears that the show's two lead actors might have the chance to mimic the bromance featured in "Goblin." Recently released clips from the said JTBC drama, as obtained by Soompi, showed Park and Ji's chemistry with each other as they portrayed the rich heir Min Hyuk and the rookie detective Guk Doo, respectively.
Despite the said JTBC series marking the first time that the two South Korean actors worked together, Park and Ji's camaraderie was evident in the behind-the-scenes footage included in the some of the teaser clips. Meanwhile, viewers can also expect to see a different side to the celebrities as they tap their inner divas to cross dress as females.
Given Ji's character's occupation as a detective, it appears that Guk Doo wore a sexy dress while on an undercover mission to apprehend a criminal. However, Park tapped her feminine side in what appears to be a ruse to fool Guk Doo into thinking that Min Hyuk's is a girl.
In other news, Park and Ji's co-star Park Bo Young commented on the JTBC show's fun filming environment, as well as the two actors' hilarious antics. In a video interview and special preview clip, as obtained by All Kpop, the actress recounted how both actors would even act cute together on-set.
"Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" will premiere on Feb. 24 on JTBC. Watch a teaser clip below:
