WWE Superstar John Cena to promote the Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch, known in development as the NX, is a hybrid video game console developed by Nintendo.

Nintendo has enlisted the help of the 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena to advertise the upcoming Nintendo Switch. The wrestler will make an appearance at an invite-only event scheduled for later this month.

According to Game Spot, the event Cena will attend will be held in The Blue Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita, Florida. The invite-only event will be held in Feb. 23, and the wrestling star along with several major YouTube personalities will play the mini-game collection "1-2-Switch," specifically the cow-milking minigame.

According to Game Rant, the event will only serve as the kickstarter for a country-wide tour which will give the public a chance to try out the Switch in the fake living room designed by Nintendo. After the initial event, the next one will be held in Feb.27 at the Snowmass Ski resort in Aspen, Colorado, and the last stop being New York City's Madison Square Garden on March 3.

Also, the Nintendo Switch can be played at the PAX East Event, which will take place on March 10 to March 12. The event will take place after the console's release date, however.

Despite Cena's presence, it is unlikely that the Switch event will bring about an announcement of the "WWE 2K18" for the upcoming console system. Actually, developer 2K games has not given any announcements about the "WWE 2K" franchise for any Nintendo consoles ever since the Wii, with the "WWE 2K13" game being released in 2012.

The company is one of the first publishers to commit to the console however, and announced that "NBA 2K18" will be released sometime within 2017. It is possibly a means of testing how the Switch will fare on its audience, and if it is successful the company might bring other major titles to the console.

The Nintendo Switch is set to be released on March 3, 2017 around the globe. Here is the most recent video for the game:
