The upcoming fighting game "Injustice 2" will reveal new characters for its roster. It is part of the effort on keeping the hype of the game alive until its release date.
According to the official "Injustice 2" website, the date of the next character reveal is planned to be at March 2, which will feature the twenty-first DC Comics hero or villain on the game's roster. It is just a little more than half of the planned characters for the game, and it is expected for more character reveals to happen after that.
There are still speculations about which characters will be announced next, as an infamous leaked roster for "Injustice 2" still proves to be true so far. Right now, the next in line in this list is the villain Joker, followed by Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Captain Cold, Doctor Fate, Green Arrow, Firestorm, Black Adam, Zoom, and Power Girl.
With the 40 slots listed in the game's official website, it means that a lot of other characters are still unknown even if the list proves to be accurate to the end. After all, it does not include the possible characters to be added in the game's DLCs, as well as the pre-order exclusive villain Darkseid.
However, with the initial 31 slots listed expanded to its current number, there is no telling whether or not NetherRealm Studios will add even more. Right now, the developer remains to be ambiguous about its size, other than the fact that "Injustice 2" will have the largest roster of fighters compared to any fighting game they developed, according to Game Rant.
"Injustice 2" will be released on May 16 for the PS4 and Xbox One console platforms, with a mobile version recently announced. The most recent character reveal is Cyborg, shown through a spectacular story trailer recently released by NetherRealm Studios. Here is the trailer:
