''Seven Deadly Sins'' finally renewed its season 2 and the trailer was released. However, when the viewers went on to view the series; they were disappointed to see the old OVA (Original Video Animation) "Signs of Holy War" which was aired between Aug. 28, 2016 to Sep. 18, 2016 on JNN (MBS, TBS) in Japan.

In the beginning of the month, it was reported on Comicbook that the trailer was released. The trailer has the familiar characters of Princess Elizabeth and Meliodas. It was announced that Netflix will telecast 24 episodes of Season 2 from Feb.17.

A-1 Pictures had adapted the manga into an anime series and it was first telecast between Oct. 5, 2014 - Mar. 29, 2015 on JNN (MBS) in Japan. Netflix acquired the rights to the show's English dub, and the 4 episode OVA was a huge hit too. The last episode which ended on Sep. 18 last year was entitled "Ai no Katachi" which means ''The Shape of Love."

So now since it is not clear that when will the season 2 be telecast, the viewers can watch the season 1 (24 episodes) and the 4 episode OVA to know the storyline of the anime. The trick to bring the viewers to Netflix and make them watch the OVA has worked successfully. It is not yet known whether it was a mistake done by Netflix, or it was just a trick to tease the audience and make them wait for season 2 of ''Seven Deadly Sins.''

The 4 episode OVA had shown the love of Diane and king grow and there were many mushy and naughty moments which the viewers just loved. Now the speculations are ripe about the storyline of season 2. Many fans want to know about the dark secret of the protagonist Meliodas, as he is a sin.

According to a report on Anime News Network last month, Netflix did come up with the teaser trailer video of streaming season 2 of this popular anime and manga series. However, even though the season 2 was not released, the social media hype after this news was released clearly shows the fan base for this franchise. Looking at this fan base, A-1 Pictures, the studio which has the rights of this series will definitely think about releasing the season 2 soon.

Watch this fan, who was equally confused with the announcement.
