Jeremy Lin believes Nets are going to turn things around very soon

Jeremy Lin of the Brooklyn Nets dribbles up the court during first half of the preseason game against the Boston Celtics at Barclays Center on October 13, 2016 in New York City.

Jeremy Lin is finally healthy and playing again but it was not enough as the Brooklyn Nets are on a 16-game losing skid. However, Lin is remaining positive and he believes the Nets are going to turn things around in the remainder of their road trip.

The Nets are just two losses away from tying the franchise record for the most consecutive defeats at 18 games set in the 2009-10 season. In Lin's very first game back in the team's starting lineup against the Denver Nuggets last Friday, he had seven points, two rebounds and five assists in just 14 minutes but it was not enough.

Lin then put up nine points and two assists in the loss against the Golden State Warriors and he only played for 14 minutes again. Despite the limited minutes and 16-game losing streak, the 28-year-old point guard is feeling confident heading into the final six-game of their eight-game road trip.

It is because of head coach Kenny Atkinson's two-day camp to give the team a refresher about the offense and defense. A back to basics move that could prove pivotal for the Nets that have a record of 9-49.

"We barely get any time to practice, so this is going to be really big for us to get back to our fundamentals, our principles. And I think if we do it right, hopefully, it can be somewhat of a turning point in terms of turning things around and getting things headed in the right direction," Lin told the New York Post.

"We'll have two good days to get shortened training-camp practices. I think it's important. Our guys need it. I'm looking forward to it," Atkinson added.

The Nets are going to have a tough time ending their losing skid. It starts on Wednesday when they visit the Sacramento Kings followed by a game against the Jazz in Utah. They will also visit the Portland Trail Blazers, Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks in the final stretch of the road trip, per NBA.com.

Brooklyn will only get home on March 12 as they try to turn things around this season. They are on pace to be the worst team this season but a healthy Lin could give them some needed boost to finish the year strong.
