Manchester United has been on a roll as the team is undefeated in their last 16 outings to settle at the sixth spot in the league standings. They are one game behind fifth-place team Liverpool and only two points below the final Champions League qualifying berth for the next season currently held by Arsenal.

The Red Devils' most recent Premier League fixture was last Feb. 11 at the Old Trafford, which resulted in a 2-0 blanking of struggling squad Watford, as per SkySports.

Juan Mata opened the scoring in the 32nd minute of the match with a sweeping shot from close range from an Anthony Martial cross. Martial then doubled the lead right at the hour-mark of the contest, with the assist this time coming from Zlatan Ibrahimović.

It was the second consecutive win for head coach Jose Mourinho's squad after going on three-straight drawn matches.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth has continued with its downward spiral. The team has been winless in seven straight games and is now settled in the 14th spot of the league table. They are only four points above the bottom three relegation area and a long 22 points below United with the final Europa League qualifying spot for the next season.

The Cherries are coming off a 1-2 loss to West Bromwich Albion last Saturday at the Hawthorns to extend their losing slide to four games, BBC Sport reported.

Norwegian winger Joshua King scored the first goal of the game with a penalty kick in the fifth minute. However, West Brom quickly equalized five minutes later with a 25-yard goal by defender Craig Dawson with the pass coming from midfielder Nacer Chadli.

West Brom defender Gareth McAuley then netted what proved to be the winning goal in the 21st minute as both squads remained scoreless for the rest of the match.
