Angelababy Groupie

On her 28th birthday on Feb. 28, Chinese actress Angelababy had a surprise party thrown by her husband Huang Xiaoming. The event was held in a Hong Kong hotel.

Among those who attended the birthday party was Vicki Zhao, a Chinese actress who is the former girlfriend of Huang Xiaoming. But there was definitely no catfight nor hair-pulling incidents because the two women are friends and even had a group picture with Huang Xiaoming in between the two women, Toggle reported.

Face-Slimming Tip

It was not a plain groupie but Angelababy and Vicki Zhao even did a face-slimming tip which they shared to their fans on social media. It consists of blocking their cheeks with their hands. Vicki Zhao then wrote as caption of the groupie, “Face-slimming and face-blocking tip here, suitable for all individuals.”

Another actress, Shu Qi from Taiwan, who was also present at the birthday party for Angelababy added, “This method works! Happy birthday, dearest pretty mummy.” She was referring to Angelababy’s recent childbirth when the actress gave birth in mid-January to her first child, Xiaohaimian, which means “Little Sponge.”

Painting Backlash

Meanwhile, a week before her birthday, Angelababy got netizen backlash because of a painting she placed on auction at a charity event in April. Titled “Future,” the painting should a spaceship and a few birds on a pink background. Angela even made a video introduction of the painting that it represented her aspirations and hopes when she was younger.

Someone purchased the painting for 180,000 yuan, or $26,150, at the Teach for Charity auction, AsiaOne reported. But some netizens when they saw the painting criticized it as “unworthy” and “a disgrace to art. Another netizen admits to liking Angelababy, but her amateur painting made him feel he attended art classes for nothing. Although the painting was controversial, Angelababy asked her fans for their continued support to her works of charity.
