Park Bo Gum’s ‘Moonlight Draw by Clouds’ co-star Jinyoung wins Second Lead Syndrome

Jinyoung is not only the leader and lead vocalist of the K-Pop boy group B1A4. He is also known for playing Kim Yoon Sung in the South Korean drama series "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" and he was recently recognized for it.

At the 12th Annual Soompi Awards, Jinyoung won the Second Lead Syndrome category. He defeated his "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" co-star Chae Soo Bin, "Doctors" star Yoon Gyun Sang, "Cheese in the Trap" star Seo Kang Joon, "Reply 1988" star Ryu Jun Yeol, "Lucky Romance" star Lee Soo Hyuk, "Scarlet Heart: Goryeo" star Kang Ha Neul, "Madame Antoine" star Jung Jinwoon, "Another Oh Hae Young" star Jeon Hye Bin and "Don't Dare to Dream" star Go Kyung Pyo.

The winners of the annual survey with 29 categories were announced on March 2, Thursday, by Soompi. With Fuse and ZANYBROS as partners, the United States-based online news provider specializing in Korean pop culture received almost 100 million votes from hallyu fans from 139 countries across the globe from Dec. 19, 2016 to Jan. 16.

"Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" was based on the novel of the same name. starring Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung, the drama series aired on KBS2 from Aug. 22, 2016 to Oct. 18, 2016.
