Selena Gomez is apparently fuming over the jokes which are targeted wrongly at her during the Roast session of Comedy Central. The 22-year-old singer reportedly was the subject of number of cruel taunts despite her absence from the show.
Bieber and Gomez ended their relationship last year. But it seems that their much publicized tumultuous relationship is still a fond subject for roasters, who expectedly made a dig at the "Come & Get It" hit maker mercilessly.
"She couldn't be here tonight...because she didn't want to come," said roast master Kevin Hart at the start of the show hinting at the much evident absence of the former Disney star. Multiple reports state that Gomez was asked formally to attend the show, but she declined the invitation.
Other roaster Jeffrey Ross again took a jab at the "Monte Carlo" star by quipping that Mexicans will do the disgusting jobs Americans just won't do, hinting to the former couple's sexual relationship.
"You're about to get f-ked harder than Orlando Bloom f-ked Selena Gomez," said the other roaster Chris D'Elia as a starting punch as he came on stage to roast the star.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Bieber reacted calmly at these jibes targeted at Gomez. "Everybody was going balls to the wall," Bieber told reporters once he came back stage after the event on being quizzed whether too much Gomez jokes bothered him. "It was whatever."
Meanwhile, Hollywood Life claimed that Gomez is offended as she was targeted wrongly at Bieber's roast session. The punches, especially one with sexual reference between her and the actor Orlando Bloom annoyed the star.
"She particularly took offense to a joke about a sexual relationship with Orlando Bloom," said a source close to the star. "She doesn't like her dirty laundry washed in public like that, and likes to keep relationships private."
Gomez, who is currently dating Zedd, apparently is also angry the way Bieber reacted to D'Elia's hurtful remark. Bieber, who was otherwise seen smiling throughout the event, reportedly laughed hysterically and uncontrollably at the cruel punch.
