‘One Piece’ episode 780 not released on March 12?

Luffy is the main character of the Japanese manga series 'One Piece' written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda .

Fans who are expecting "One Piece" episode 780 to be released on March 12, Sunday, will have to wait a little longer. But because of Nagoya Women's Marathon 2017, the anime written by Eiichiro Oda will be on a hiatus.

In early March every year, Nagoya Women's Marathon takes place in Nagoya, Japan. The 35th and 36th editions of the annual marathon race for female runners held on March 8, 2015 and on March 13, 2016, respectively, were both won by Eunice Kirwa from Bahrain.

Organized by Japan Association of Athletics Federations and The Chunichi Shimbun, Nagoya Women's Marathon 2017 has 3,000 participants. The entry costs 11,000 yen and there is a 7-hour time limit to start and finish at Nagoya Dome, according to the official website of the race.

Exactly one week after Nagoya Women's Marathon 2017, "One Piece" episode 780 will be released. The episode is titled "A Hungry Front! Luffy and the Navy Rookies!"

Satoshi Itō was the episode director of "A Hungry Front! Luffy and the Navy Rookies!" with Kenji Yokoyama as the animation director. Hirohiko Uesaka wrote the screenplay while Satoshi Itō did the storyboard.

"One Piece" episode 779 titled "Kaido Returns- An Imminent Threat to the Worst Generation" featured Chopper's reaction right after hearing about Sabo's relationship to Luffy. In the episode, Carrot and Bariete had a conversation before Carrot left Zou.

Written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda," "One Piece" is a manga series that has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 19, 1997. The story revolves around a young man named Monkey D. Luffy, who unintentionally ate Devil Fruit that gave his body the properties of rubber, and his crew of pirates called the Straw Hat Pirates.

"A Hungry Front! Luffy and the Navy Rookies!" is under the Silver Mine Arc, which is the 12th filler arc and the third filler arc after the timeskip that ties into the "One Piece Film: Gold" movie. The Silver Pirate Alliance kidnapped Monkey D. Luffy and Bartolomeo, who will have to escape from a large fortress on a giant silver mine.

On March 19, the Straw Hat Pirates will be met with an original filler arc, which will center on Luffy and his crew as they travel to rescue Sanji, according to Weekly Shōnen Jump, as cited by Comic Book. The crew will run out of food because of Luffy's insatiable appetite.
