Ex-EXO member Tao, ‘Descendants of the Sun’ star Tae In Ho have 1 thing in common

Former EXO member Tao is in the cast of the Jackie Chan starrer 'Railroad Tigers.'

Park Sang Yeon, who is professionally known as Tae In Ho, will turn 37 on May 2. On the same day, former K-Pop boy band EXO member Huang Zitao, who is professionally known as Tao, will turn 24.

Tae was born in Busan, South Korea. He made his debut on the big screen in 2002 when he played a college student in the film "The Bird Who Stops in the Air."

On the small screen, Tae made his debut in 2013 when he played the bodyguard of Jang (On Joo Wan) in the KBS2 period drama series "The Blade and Petal." In 2014, he played Assistant Manager Song Jeon Shik in the tvN series "Misaeng."

In the Jan. 7, 2015, episode of the SBS radio program "Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time," Tae was mentioned by his "Misaeng" co-actor Jeon Seok Ho. Listeners found out that Tae ran a café located near Hapjeong Station in Seoul.

Jeon told listeners that Tae brewed and served the coffee himself in the café and coffee is very good there. Visitors later on confirmed that the cafe did exist and it was called Deniro Coffee Roasters.

In 2016, Tae played four different TV roles. He was Kang Tae Hwa in "Madame Antoine," Oh Joo Hwan in the Korean remake of the CBS series "The Good Wife," Dr. Moon in "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" and Han Suk Won in "Descendants of the Sun," which lost to "The Legend of the Blue Sea" as the Drama of the Year at the 12th Annual Soompi Awards based on the survey conducted by Soompi.

On the other hand, Tao has yet to star in a TV series. The release dates of his upcoming Chinese series titled "A Chinese Odyssey: Love You A Million Years" and "The Negotiator" have yet to be announced.

On the big screen, Tao made his debut in 2015 when he played William in "You Are My Sunshine." In 2016, he joined Jackie Chan in the action comedy film "Railroad Tigers," which earned more than $71 million in China, Los Angeles Times reported.  

On Feb. 10, Tao starred with Peter Ho, Guli Nazha and Wang Xueqi in "The Game Changer," a film inspired by the Hong Kong period drama series "The Bund." The former EXO member is also set to star in the films "Edge of Innocence" and "The Legend of Famen Temple."
