Catherine Bell and Erin Krakow attend the Hallmark Channel & Hallmark Movie Channel's 2014 Summer TCA Party on July 8, 2014 in Beverly Hills, California.

In 2015, Canadian actor Niall Matter, 36, played Peter Cutler in "Remedy." Currently, he plays a single father named Shane Cantrell with a son named Philip Cantrell (Liam Hughes) in the Hallmark series "When Calls the Heart."

The story of Philip, a new student in Hope Valley, and his father in "When Calls the Heart" Season 4 is heart-warming. Adding Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow) makes it even more interesting.

Philip is a new student Elizabeth is taking a strong interest on. Shane, on the other hand, is a single father who is working overtime at the mill making him so busy that he has little time left over for his son.

In "When Calls the Heart" Season 4 episode 3 titled "The Heart of the Community," Abigail Stanton (Lori Loughlin) finalized a deal with Ray Wyatt (Jeremy Guilbaut) to bring the railroad to Hope Valley. New families have flocked to the town with the promise of work.

Hope Valley was alarmed by the news that a notorious gang was at large and may be heading their way. Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) and Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) enlisted Frank Hogan's (Mark Humphrey) counsel in stopping their plan to rob the incoming stage carrying the railroad's payroll.

The entire town supported Elizabeth when she wanted to planned a carnival to raise funds for supplies the school needed to accommodate the new students. Elsewhere, it did not take long for Rosemary LeVeaux (Pascale Hutton) to find a new opportunity after her new job at the café came to an end sooner than expected.

Follow the story of Elizabeth with father and son Philip and Shane. Watch "When Calls the Heart" Season 4 episode 4 titled "Change of Heart" will air on March 12, Sunday, at 9:00 p.m. on Hallmark.
