‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ featured ‘SNL Korea’ host Kwon Hyuk Soo as Buddhist monk

Fans of Kwon Hyuk Soo, 30, got to see him on "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon." The "Saturday Night Live Korea" host had a cameo role as a Buddhist monk on the JTBC series.

On "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," Baek Soo Tak (Im Won Hee) has lost against Do Bong Soon (Park Bo Young) many times. The former tried to start a new life by visiting Kwon's character.

With his bushy hair and serious facial expressions, Kwon made the "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" viewers laugh. The comedian is friends with Kim Won Hae and Kim Min Kyo, who plays Kim Kwang Bok and Agari, respectively, on the JTBC show.

Kwon is busy but he agreed to appear on the show. He became close friends with Won Hae and Min Kyo through "SNL Korea."

During the filming of the "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" episode, Kwon and Im made people laugh on the set. In particular, the former brought uniqueness to his character, which the director praised. 

According to Kwon, his "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" character was very humorous so he was able to have fun while filming. He decided to appear on the show because it was fun and he loves watching it, Soompi quoted him as saying. The episode featuring his cameo appearance aired on JTBC on March 31, Friday.

In other news, the nine members of K-Pop girl group gugudan are set to host an episode of "SNL Korea 9." The group made their debut in June 2016.

On March 29, Wednesday, gugudan's agency Jellyfish Entertainment announced the "SNL Korea" episode hosted by the K-Pop girl group members will air on April 8, Herald Corp quoted the agency as saying.

Recently, gugudan has been promoting "A Girl Like Me." The song is from their second mini album "Act. 2 Narcissus."
