China's "Belt and Road" initiative is a landmark project initiated by President Xi Jinping.

China is set to reveal all the details of the "Belt and Road" initiatives at the 2015 Boao Forum for Asia. The forum will be held at the end of the month in Hainan Province.

According to insiders of the "Belt and Road" initiatives, Chinese citizens can expect major infrastructure projects in the upcoming years, including new roads, railways, energy, information technology, and industrial parks.

Most of these projects allow China to reach Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and China's other neighboring countries, certainly benefiting trade relations between China and these countries.

The release of the new details during the forum is timely. The forum has the theme "Asia's New Future: Toward a Community of Common Destiny." China is set to play a huge role in Asia's more aggressive future, and its "Belt and Road Initiatives" are designed to propel China into this new future.

Under the initiatives, China aims to build a Silk Road Economic Belt as well as 21st Century Maritime Silk Road to improve ties between China and the other Asian countries.

In Nov. 2014, China stated that it would allocate $40 billion for the establishment of a Silk Road Fund. The fund would be the main resource pool providing investing and financial support for the upcoming infrastructure and financial projects designed to facilitate better cooperation and connection among countries along the "Belt and Road."

"The emphasis [of Chinese foreign policy] will be on promoting infrastructural connectivity, and building overland economic corridors and pillars of maritime cooperation," said Foreign Minister Wang Yi with regard to these initiatives during the press briefing on China's foreign policy at the 12th National People's Congress.
