The "Glee" musical series finally ended with a two-hour finale after being nearly-forgotten for several seasons.

The first hour of the finale focused on several flash backs from the formation of the Glee club in the fictitious William McKinley High School in 2009.

Who could forget the iconic "Don't Stop Believin" cover the show presented on its pilot episode? It made millions of fans worldwide, helping real glee clubs in schools become popular again, or at least recognized, according to Seattle Times.

The finale also showed that the beloved William McKinley High School will be transformed into an arts school with Will Schuester, the pioneer of the school's glee club, as its new principal.

There show, after six seasons, ended with a lot of good things. New Directions, a show choir in the series, won the national championship. Mercedes (Amber Riley) told her friends that she would be the opening act on an upcoming world tour of Beyonce.

Rachel (Lea Michele) will serve as a surrogate mom for homosexual couple Blaine and Kurt. She will also be a winner of a Tony award, according to Boston Herald.

"Something is special because you are a part of it," said Rachel when she accepted her award.

The show had been initially successful in daring to try mixing narratives with musical productions. "Glee" also paved the way for aspiring YouTube stars who excel in music.

It also gave exposure to well-deserved acting veterans such as Jane Lynch (Sue) and Matthew Morrison (Will).
