Jennifer Lawrence confirms that her contract under the franchise" X-Men" is ending and she will have to say goodbye to the role of the blue shape shifting mutant "Mystique".

"It is my last one, actually. Yes," Lawrence reveals in an interview with MTV.

The 24-year-old actress is not the only one leaving as co-actors James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender both revealed that their contracts for the movie franchise is about to end.

This may seem to be an appropriate ending for the character as the movie's screenwriter Simon Kinberg reveals that the main plan was to create a movie trilogy, and "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be the last film.

"I will say that 'X-Men: Apocalypse' is definitely the close of a trilogy for those 'First Class' characters, which isn't to say we won't see them in future movies, hopefully we will, but it's a completion of an arc for them," Kinberg explains.

After the success of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" that saved the franchise and its copyrights, Fox haven't mentioned any plans on continuing the movie franchise after "Apocalypse".

Despite of that fact, Fox will continue to give movie treats to mutant fanatics as they revealed to continue create movies for "X-Men" characters like "Wolverine," "Gambit" and "Deadpool."

Though plans on extending Lawrence's contract and appearances on the movie franchise is still left uncertain, Slash Films reported that this is a good opportunity for the actress to explore more roles now that she is free.

"X-Men : Apocalypse" will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
