A new firmware update with the version number 9.6.0-24U has now landed on the Nintendo 3DS.
As with most updates, this one brings better stability to the platform and its operating system. It also has other subtle but useful features that gamers would appreciate.
The Home menu has been significantly upgraded with the new layout setting. It allows users to easily save and choose from eight different layouts for their menu. They can choose and load any of these which has unique themes, different icon arrangements and are designed to offer better interface for users to browse with.
The theme shop has been upgraded with an option that allows players to view more which makes it easier to browse the content within, confirms Always Nintendo.
With the system update, the new Nintendo 3DS console has also received minor adjustments and improvements which allows the users to experience the best of gaming without any stability issues. A new Amiibo setting has been added to the home which allows users to register themselves as an owner and provide a specific nickname.
The Amiibo figure data content can be erased or it can be completely reset using the settings feature. This particular feature is useful only for people who have purchased the latest edition of 3DS while others may have to wait till a compatible peripheral to support Amiibos is introduced, adds IGN.
