Xiaomi's New Android 4.4 Smart TV Costs $320

Xiaomi is partnering with sports brand Li Ning for a new generation of "smart" running shoes.

One of China's leading mobile manufacturers Xiami raises its marketing game as it jumps into the TV manufacturing business as it launched Xiaomi Mi TV 2, a 40-inch TV that is powered by Android OS, and will sell for a very affordable price of $320.

Xiaomi starts to make a buzz around the technological world by innovating premium smartphones and tablets that can go toe-to-toe with the leading brands at a very affordable price range. Now, it is dipping its hands in the Smart TV market.

According to Gizmondo, the TV will packed with features that is at par with most high-end TVs.

It features a 40-inch full HD Led display, powered by a Cortex-A9 quad-core CPU that is clocked at 1.45GHz. It also includes a generous 8GB storage and 1.5GB of RAM, enough for multitasking. It is also skinned with Xiaomi's own take on Android, the MIUI TV.

The TV has the capability for any kind of video playback as it supports video formats like RM, FLV, MOV, AVI, MKV, TS, and MP4.

Running on Android 4.4, the TV is expected to be run most of the Android apps and can also be used for browsing the web. With the power it runs under its hood, Xiaomi also boasts that it can also be used as a Android gaming device. Another cool feature is that users can choose from an array of different colors, similar to what you can see on Apple's iPhone 5C.

Business Insider reported that this TV device will be released in the U.S. this year.
