Biscuit Taco, the breakfast sandwich that tastes like a biscuit but shaped like a taco, will be introduced nationally on March 26. The new food product will be promoted in the morning advertisements to draw the attention of the target consumers, according to USA Today.
The new Biscuit Taco is made using buttermilk biscuit, which can have a filling of eggs and sausage or chicken mixed with tortilla chips and spices. The csutomers can choose between two variety of sauces that include country gravy or jalapeno honey according to CNBC News.
Besides their special breakfast sandwich, in the next few months, Taco Bell expects to test another new addition to the menu, The Frito Taco. It is a taco served in a shell made of Fritos. It is expected that the Frito Taco will mimic the popularity of Doritos Tacos Locos that is fast food giant's most successful product introductions in years. The Cap'n Crunch Delights, are still being tested. Cap'n Crunch delights are doughnut holes filled with creamy milk icing and covered in Cap'n Crunch Berries cereal crumbs.
Taco Bell hopes to turn breakfast menu into a phenomena that would generate upto 20 percent of its business during two separate phone interviews with Taco Bell's new CEO, Brian Niccol, and its marketing chief, Chris Brandt. Breakfast is an important matter. While it currently accounts for 6% of the chain's sales, Niccol, who has been in the CEO for about three months, believes that Taco Bell would be able to triple these figures.

Breakfast is one of the fastest growing day parts in fast food. With the new Taco Bell's breakfast product, what steps will McDonald's take to keep their consumers from turning towards the Biscuit Taco?
