Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott is very much confident the purple-and-gold remains one of the most desired destinations for free-agents based on the volume of interests he's getting from several NBA players this season.

Scott, who is 10 games away to wrapping up his first head coaching season with the Lakers, said there are already several incoming free-agents who reached out to him and expressed their desire to play for the Lakers next season.

The Lakers head coach added the huge interest he's getting from these players only suggested the storied franchise is still a hub for good talents despite the fact that they struck out on elite free-agents the past two off-seasons.

"You have a lot of free agents out there who would love to play for us. They've been making it pretty clear," (Lakers coach Byron) Scott stressed in an interview with Mark Medina of Los Angeles Daily News. "You have guys during the games come by the bench saying, 'Hey Coach, I would love to be in L.A. next year.'

"That makes you feel good there are players out there that want to be here. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that we're taking it in a different direction. They know this organization and the history of the organization is going to be back."

Armed with a cap space that could reach as high as $30M this offseason, the Lakers front-office, led by general manager Mitch Kupchack, will be looking to bolster their lineup with significant free-agency signings.

The free-agency class of 2015 is expected to be loaded with All-Stars and up-and-coming talents across five positions. Marc Gasol has emerged as the most coveted incoming free-agent, but the possibility of Kevin Love hitting the market would add more intrigue this summer.
