Atherton's CiCi Bellis admitted that after their third round match at the Miami Open, losing against Serena Williams, was considered a good experience for her.

Bellis disclosed that she was intimidated by the senior tennis champ playing against her on the other side of the net. Williams is the current holder of 19 Grand Slams. She only needed 41 minutes to beat the young 15-year-old tennis player on a 6-1, 6-1 score on Sunday, SF Gate reported.

The young professional tennis player explained how nervous she was when the game started. She was thinking that she is playing against the number one tennis player in the world and the best of all time, is more than enough reason to be nervous.

"I was pretty nervous," Bellis said. "I mean, she's No. 1 in the world and like the best of all time for a reason. I think it was just a really good experience for me for the future and I'm glad I got to do it, but she's a lot better than me for right now."

Bellis was known to have won the match on the previous year's US Open. She made the headlines by being the youngest to win since 1996. However, she was still no match against the best.

William did not feel too overwhelmed about her win. She disclosed that it was not like as if it was an overwhelming match. However, it was a tough game playing against the young player. According to the number one tennis player, she like to see people like her do well in this trade.

She was reported to have withdrawn before the semis at Indian Wells the previous week due to a right aching knee. Williams hit 13 winners to only one by the 15-year-old player, who is today's world's top-ranked junior tennis start and still an amateur, according to ESPN Tennis.
