Groups of UFO hunters on Earth have announced the discovery of what appears to be the wreckage of two crashed flying saucers or UFOs on the surface of Mars after closely examining photos supplied by NASA.

In February, one group announced the discovery of the wreck of a gigantic UFO strewn all over the Martian surface. These UFO hunters said this UFO was "apparently abandoned" on the Martian surface.

This UFO was discovered in the Candor Chasma region and reported by anomaly hunters, Martian Archaeology. This UFO was described by Mars Archaeology as "exposed ruins on Mars caused by a crashed flying saucer." The images show the site from different angles and appear to reveal a crash site

The latest UFO discovery on Mars was reported March 27 by two YouTube UFO hunting groups, Mars Moon Space Photo Zoom Club (MMSPZC) and Paranormal Crucible, said The Inquisitr.

MMSPZC said it discovered the flying saucer-shaped UFO in the Martian region of Aram Chaos (2.6°N, 21.5°W) near the canyon Valles Marineris and Ares Vallis.

MMSPZC claims this saucer-shaped craft isn't part of the natural Martian terrain but an object of artificial construction probably abandoned on the surface "after it developed a fault and crashed". UFO hunters estimate the flying saucer to be about 200 to 300 meters in diameter.

Another UFO hunter said a close examination of the object suggests a metallic luster in sharp contrast to the Martian soil in which it appears partially embedded. The saucer also has a visibly curved or circular shape with sharp edges indicative of artificial construction.

The photos in both cases were taken by NASA's Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) aboard the Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) spacecraft launched in 1996. The MOC returned 243,668 images while in orbit around Mars before the loss of the MGS in 2006.

Probably the most famous photos taken by the MOC was a series of images showing about 10 different heart-shaped features on the surface of the Red Planet.
