Teenage girls are not the only ones devastated over the news that Zayn Malik leaving "One Direction" as actor Ryan Reynolds also expressed being upset by the Malik's departure from the band.

The actor posted a statement on his Twitter account about him being equally devastated as the other fans of the band. Reynolds responded to one of his followers saddened by the news by saying that he refuses to believe the news. He added that he felt as if Malik leaving the band was like Taylor Swift leaving Taylor Swift.

Malik announced his final decision in quitting One Direction last week, but assured the fans that it had something to do with him wanting to be a normal 22-year-old who could have a private time while not being scrutinized by the public eye. The decision came days after a photo of him surfaced holding hands with another girl while on tour in Thailand despite having a fiancée.

According to an interview with E! News, other pop stars such as Nick Jonas and Billy Eichner commented on Malik leaving the band. Jonas was interviewed before when he hosted the 2015 Kids' Choice Awards and he noted that he understood Malik saying it is tough because there is never an easy time to make a decision and leave a band since he was also part of the band "Jonas Brothers". Jonas added that he commends Malik for doing what he feels is the best for him.

As for Eichner, he was interviewed during the iHeartRadio Music Awards over the weekend and he joked that he feels devastated over the news but shared that Malik has a vision for his life and no one has the right to stop him from doing so.

However, some fans cannot seem to take the situation positively as Daily Mail reported that a lot of the fans of the group threatened to harm themselves if Malik will not take back his decision to leave the band. Moreover, hashtags such as "#AlwaysInOurHeartsZaynMalik," "#PleaseZaynBackForUs," and "#blamepierrie" started to trend online.
