Michelle Rodriguez has been part of the franchise "The Fast And The Furious" since the first installment and in light of "Furious 7" hitting the theatres soon, the actress opened up to the Daily Beast about why she almost quit the blockbuster film.

Rodriguez first talked about not expecting that their film would make it this far as she pointed out that for her, the success of their franchise is like Run DMC making their first track with Aerosmith. The alpha female in the film noted that nobody in her family was happy that she became an actress as she was supposed to be a doctor but her brother was happy for her that she was not in jail considering the fact that she dropped out from high school.

Rodriguez shared that although she and her co-actors and actresses in the franchise are now a really tight family both on and off screen, she wanted to quit at first because of the script that the writers worked on.

The actress revealed that she was excited because it was her first Hollywood movie. However, her character, Letty Ortiz, was supposed to be in a love triangle with the character of Vin Diesel, Dominic Toretto, and the character of Paul Walker, Brian O'Conner, so she was ready to leave the set and back out from the movie.

Rodriguez added that she cried and told the director she was going to quit begging them not to sue her because she really does not want to be that kind of girl in front of millions of people. She shared that the whole point for her of being an actress was to live a dream.

One of the people who backed her up on her refusal of being part of a love triangle was Diesel and it all turned out well after they changed the script.

Rodriguez then talked about Walker's death back in 2013 due to a tragic car accident and she shared that they were all blindsided because they loved Walker because he was so genuine and real.

Meanwhile, according to NJ.com, the star also revealed that she is very picky with the roles she gets because sexism in Hollywood is really strong. She pointed out that she can't just be a girlfriend, a girl who gets empowered because she was raped, or a girl who gets empowered then gets killed or dies.

"Furious 7" will be on theatres on April 3.
