Now you can test your eyesight and check whether you have healthy eyes or not by looking at the optical illusion of a hybrid image which has been created by mixing the images of faces of Albert Einstein and Marilyn Monroe, reports the Voice Chronicle in its latest report. This image will help you to decide if you need contact lenses and/ or glasses or not for your eyes.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and its researchers have created this hybrid image and it is called as 'Marilyn Einstein'. It is a vision test that has the detailed image of Einstein, superimposed on a blurry photo of Monroe. It combines a low spatial frequency image with a high special frequency image, which will tell you about your eyesight in a matter of seconds.
If you are able to see both the images, you have a perfect eyesight, reports Tech Times. But there is a catch here also. Marilyn's face will be visible from an afar point and Einstein's face will be available from a nearer point. You cannot distinguish between these two images at the same focal length, as Einstein's face will appear more prominent, say scientists. It is due to the reason that the human brain first checks out the bigger details and zeroes out the picture to those details, hence, the human brain will recognize Einstein's face almost immediately.
The researchers believe that this hybrid image test will prove useful for opticians, to determine the power of eye of their patients. Also, businesses and advertising can explore many options for hiring their employees with the use of this hybrid picture, as they lay a lot of stress on the logos.
