‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Kit Harington: No One Should Sit On The Iron Throne

Kit Harington is believed to reprise his role as Jon Snow in "Game Of Thrones" season 6.

"Game Of Thrones" Kit Harington, 28, has recently revealed who he thinks deserves the Iron Throne.

When quizzed by Mirror about who he thinks should sit on the Iron Throne, Harington said, "Honestly? No one."

For Harington, the whole point of the story of "Game Of Thrones" is that "power corrupts," and that is what the hit HBO series has been telling viewers from the start.

Harington added that probably the closest person to who should be sitting on the Iron Throne is Emilia Clarke's character Daenerys Targayen because "she has the right outlook on life about freeing slaves and being morally good."

On the other hand, Harington said if Daenerys sat on the Iron Throne, she would turn into a tyrant like everybody else. He added that his character Jon Snow, a Night's Watch's noble member, is "one of the people who really doesn't want to," which is why he likes playing him.

Describing the character as "a man of his word," Harington said if Jon Snow did what he really wanted to do, he would have run off with Rose Leslie's character Ygritte and settled down, but he swore an oath, of which he is not going to break free.

Meanwhile, the action drama "Spooks: The Greater Good" starring Harington opposite Jennifer Ehle and Elyes Gabel is set to hit theaters in the United Kingdom on May 8.

"Homeland" alum David Harewood is also playing an "explosive" role in "Spooks: The Greater Good." At the recent Olivier Awards ceremony, he told Radio Times that the fans of the film are "just going to be salivating" and "the shots of London look fantastic."
