Ireland Baldwin has finally opened up after rumors that she entered rehab due to excessive partying circulated online.
The daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger confirmed that she entered a facility in Malibu due to emotional trauma. As such, she revealed that she needed intensive therapy, according to E! News.
Baldwin shut down rumors by posting a series of tweets via her official Twitter page on Tuesday, Apr. 14.
"Apparently I'm in rehab for intensive partying soooo I'm just going to lay pretty low for a bit and maybe get some frozen yogurt," she tweeted.
"I checked myself into Soba for just two weeks to just get away for a little bit. I'm not much a party cat but I am here deal with some emotional trauma and getting the intensive therapy I needed in order to recover. Someday I'll feel ready to share my story openly without feeling the way I do. Right now I just needed a breather. I needed a chance to work on myself and gather all the tools I need to overcome everything that I had been through and rid myself of all the pain I locked away in unreachable places," she wrote in a series of posts.
Last week, Baldwin was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles after she complained of severe stomach cramps.
On Friday, she revealed that she suffered from appendicitis by posting a photo of herself sitting on a wheelchair.
"Appendicits swag. Thanks for all your concern," she captioned the photo on Twitter.
