EA Announces Star Wars Battlefront Reveal

The release date of the latest installment of the "Star Wars: Battlefront" video game has leaked, according to Twinfinite. Screenshot of the highly-anticipated game has also surfaced on the Internet.

The game which was announced in 2014 is set to be released on Nov. 17. The game's publisher, Electronic Arts and LucasArts, has yet to confirm this news. The game is developed by Electronic Arts Digital Illusions.

A lot of rumors surrounding the game claim that it will be officially unveiled at the Star Wars Celebration convention which opened on Friday. The official release date was later discovered on the source code embedded deep into the game's official website. The source code contain the lines, "The latest news and updates for Star Wars Battlefront. Available November 17, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC."

A screenshot of the game has also leaked following the news of the games release date. According to Eurogamer, the screenshot shows the forested moon of Endor.

Many dedicated fans claim that this leak is legitimate, citing EA's "holiday 2015" release which was flaunted on one of the game's trailers. A teaser of the game's official gameplay was also included at the latter part of the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer.

Lead level designer Dennis Brännvall confirmed that it is an in-game footage. Brännvall posted on his Twitter account, "I'm going to answer a question in advance: Yes, that is actually what the game looks like. That's not CGI."

Additional information about the "Star Wars: Battlefront 3" game will be officially revealed on April 17.
