Ariana Grande and Big Sean already called it quits after months of being together, their representatives confirmed on April 20, Monday.

In a joint statement released, the representatives shared that both Grande and Big Sean still care for each other and that they remain as close friends. The representatives continued to ask the public for the privacy of the two stars as they face a personal matter, Us Weekly reported.

Big Sean, 27, and Grande, 21, were rumored to be in a romantic relationship in August 2014 after they worked on a few songs on Grande's album entitled "My Everything." The two were then seen in different events together packing on the PDA such as the MTV Music Video Awards in 2014.

Grande and Big Sean confirmed the relationship in September 2014 as both talked about how special the other person is to their life.

Sean was once engaged to "Glee" star Naya Rivera, who is now married and is expecting her first bundle of joy. As for Grande, she was in a relationship with Nathan Sykes from the band "The Wanted."

In an interview with Billboard on Feb. 6, Big Sean shared his thoughts on Grande saying that the pop star is super cool and that their relationship is something he does not want the media to feast on. Sean added that he respects Grande so much that he does not like to talk about her in different interviews.

Grande last posted an update about her and Big Sean in March when she posted a photo on Instagram showing her making a cute face alongside her former boyfriend. The photo had over than 1.6 million favorites from the pop star's fans.

Reently, Grande finished the North American leg of her concert tour and will start again this September for the Europe leg. For Sean, he will be having his concert as well and it will start this summer.
